savannah monitor info please

UVA/B bulb is a touchy subject. Can you get the spectrum of it?

There are many UVA/B bulbs, but most of them are designed for humans in mind. Not all of the bulbs provide the spectrum that reptiles need. Even the ones made for reptiles are not always great either.

You will find some people say monitors need UV, while others say they don't. It is up to you.

thanks bloodyirish i dont think iam going to use uv for the monitor anyway but just thought i would ask sence ive been looking at mabie getting a black & white tegu(argentine) instead of a savannah sence aparentley they are easyer to tame, but also need fruits, UVB and feed monstley on insects other then rodents mabie i need to ask some tegu questions....

one other thing weather i get a tegu or savannah iam going to be keeping in the same room with my other animals(rodents,birds,snakes ect)would this couse it to be more aggresive sence it would be smelling "prey" all the time?

Some people say their reptiles are more aggressive, others are not if they are in the same room.

Are you into monitors and tegus or just big lizards in general? There are a couple of dwarf ones that really easy to tame.
