Dubia are tropical roaches and wouldn't live long in a cool cold basement.

Could order them online say they are hissing cockroaches seams how he said that he don't care if I breed them(apparently the "they aren't like regular ones and are a common pet" line worked) and just keep them in my room also which is always in the 80's because I get cold easily. It rarely gets in the high 70's now that I have been trying to see how cold my room gets. And my basement isn't exactly cold as my soon to be room and all the reptiles and fish will end up down there. My dad isn't exactly the smartest when it comes to telling animals apart. He called my corn snake a cotton mouth so I would easily be able to get away with the switch on roaches.

When ever I figure out what it is, I will either have you guys vote on the name for it and/or suggest them. I am not good at naming animals and figure you guys would come up with some interesting names.
Also would these lights work?

I was told to use the spot version for the bin which I will if these are good but this is for the cage when it is built.

I am very impatient but the wait was worth it.

Isn't feisty but the only one that didn't run when I went to pick it up.

looks nice!
but at the above comment, it isnt to lethargic is it? that could mean a problem...

What a looker he is! I saw some in petco today that looked like crap. Wanted to take one in but I know that would be wrong. One of them tried to bite me through the glass lol.

Well the halolgen light had a set back. I had it running for a few hours to make sure it would get the right temp. It did. Then I unplugged it, plugged it in an hour before I went to get the little one. Got him out him in the bin. Left to go swimming. Came home and the light had died. So now I am looking to find something else to run the light instead of the lamps I had which should have ran it. Right now I out the 75watt blue day light I had on his cage.
Here are some more pics a bit blurry from me being shaky which gets annoying
