at the pet store they have babies for 40$ is that a good price? and also they have one large savannah thats very fat... and it was 600$

....why such a high price difference... i guess i couldve asked them there... but i had no intent of having an impulse buy that day so i decided not to ask questions..lol

It is like fish. People want big guys right away, rather than rearing them.

yup you can pay cheap and wait a year or so to get to a "bigger" size or you can drop 600 and get the fullgrown one right now...today! and most people dont realize that buying a monitor full grown probably means its about 3years or so of age with a life expectincy of i believe 15 ...so you paid 600 for a to take 3years or so off the time you could spend raising a youngster which raising is much more rewarding as a hobbyist...i dont know im done im going to take my chem placement adios

Not to mention you never know where that monitor has been. It's not hard getting used to a little baby's habits and dealing with bouts of fear or aggression when the animal is 9 inches long but when you've got a 3.5 foot 15 lbs lizard coming at you it's a different story.

I'd never buy an adult monitor I don't think...grow that lil' guy up yourself.

why is that bad?... isn't it good because theyre tame?... (just curious i really dont know much about them but i just figured they were very tame and that that was good...)

I know that woman. She was under fire on several monitor forums for her questionable "training methods." For instance, drowning them is one of the techniques she claimed to use, but later denied.
