savannah monitors

Yes I have heard she was rather notorious on a number of forums. How is drowning them a method. Either way, she's an idiot whatever which way you look at it. She should have stuck with cats.

Omg she would hold them under water if they were aggressive/nervous?

Well if she did do that.. she needs to be banned from keeping/interacting with ANY animals. And more importantly..children.

Though from the looks of things on the vid.. her monitor hasn't been drowned/held under water by her. Surely it would be fearful and would run away from her rather than come to her and climb on her? However she has done it, she has a pretty beautiful monitor there, and looks wonderfully tame and interactive! :)

Let me clarify what she say she had done. First she let the monitor go into a deep tub, and wait for them to swim until they are tired. When they start drowning, she becomes the 'saviour.'

Here where the story twist, when people started beating down on her, she changed her story to that it was an advice of some monitor breeder or tamer or whatever she call them.

that's a big waste of money on a savannah monitor....not that I don't love them, i have a two year old male who is awesome...i just think, especially because they are sort of short lived, you're better off spending less and getting a baby. plus there's the added bonus of knowing what kind of food it's eaten, conditions its been kept in, etc.

Here are some pics of mine. They are the of the same animal. Baby pic and my girl last year @ 2 yrs. I need to take some new pics. She is getting bigger now. She sure is a sweet pea though!
