saved a rbpacu

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
this is a serious hobby for me and as you can see i have tsns, aro and gar....and i will be getting atleast 1 rtc maybe more so the pacu is the smaller bill that i will have and the pacu will need the same space/ filtration as my big cats so ya it is in good hands...and i will post pics of it as it grows and the new tank when it is finished i just have to decide on the width before i start...i will be building it myself...it will have angle iron frame with plywood walls and floor with a glass front for viewing...

The max recorded size for a RB pacu is 42" I beleive. However they rarely exceed 27-30" in a home aquaria. That doesn't mean there isn't someone out there with a 40" one, but I have never seen one more than 30".

just fed it some carrots, it didn't let them touch the ground and cleaned every chunk of the sand, i also fed it some potato and a green pepper chunk as i feed those to my gn pleco(in a diff. tank) it knida picked at them but did eat the potato...it might have been full though...

Just a warning, veggies foul the water. Some veggies= good. Lots of veggies = ammonia spike in the tank.

Pay attention to that.

i knew that....thanx though....i feed veggies to my pleco in a diff tank and what doesn't get eatten while its attention is on it i tank out and i also ao a weekly 75% wc with over 1000ghp filtration including a fx5 on the tank...
