Saving the rainforest one carton of OJ at a time.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Tropicana is doing a promotion that is helping to save our world's rainforest. Each carton of OJ has a code on it that can be entered to save 100 sq. ft. of rainforest. My current 400 sq. ft. are designated to the rainforest in Peru where some of my favorite Amazon fish come from. To put this in terms that us MFKers get, no forest= less rain= no amazon= no really awesome fish. If you don't want to enter your information, you can send the code to me and I'll do it. I figure I'm already drinking it, and all those little things you can do start to add up. (I should add that it is the 11 digit code on the top of the carton. )

I assume Tropicana is paying for the piece of land? It will eventually be worth so much money I'm curious to see where this goes.. If I run into one I'll send you the code.

Fortunately, Tropicana is NOT paying directly for the land, but working with Cool Earth. If Tropicana was just buying the land this would not be worth it. However, since it's in conjunction with a group of die hard tree huggers, I would suspect that this will be very successful, and something I'm strongly willing to support.

hehe misread... I suppose you could do that, but I would worry that they would retract the donation made under your name if you did that and none of those cartons would count for crap.

You go to http://www.tropicanarainforest.com
You have to sign up with your email address and stuff (hence me offering to do it for you if you don't want to enter this). You enter the code and the store that you bought it from.
