saw a tape worm in channa

no idea how long the channa has had tapeworm for, but today is the first time i saw a tapeworm hanging out of my channa. it was very thin, white and long. then a few hours later i look again and its gone back inside.

i need someone to tell me of what medication i can get from london to treat them with. nelly you got any ideas? chana is eating well and putting on loads of weight.

would be helpful if you lot could get me a list of meds i could get easily over here.

no it went back into the micropeltes :( someone please tell me what i can use to medicate him with. its been gaining so much weight so fast i really dont want to lose this fish.

It's got a worm and it's gaining wight? I thought things lost weight when they had a work?

Okay I got a crazy idea, when humans get tape worms apparently you can get em outta hiding buy dangling raw cow meat next to your, "ahem" *cough cough*. Anyways, that might be crazy, and maybe wont even work. But put your fish in a seperate tank, and fill the water with a lot of food, let the worm smell it and lure him out again, when alot of the worm is out, try pull as much of it out as possible.

Of course if you could get medication or help from someone who actually knows about the subject it would be better than my advice 8D. Actually I wouldn't take my advice unless someone else backs it up.
 
I've seen them hanging out of 3"-7" juvie redlines on more than one occasion. I remember using some type of external parasite cure all, and I remember it working also. Ofcorse this happened back when I used to live in Richmond Va. back in early 02.
