O, i read the things. I will not buy them lmao way to much money.
I'm thinking i can go out and buy a 10gallon tank and mass fill it with sponges. Than put it in a 20gallon and make a sump like that. And so it dosent overflow i will put that in a big bin. But that imho wont be enough,

this for a 500?lol
search this forum for wet dry and read.
d mack i think has a 125 gallon filter for his 450 or whatever it is.

125gallon sump? 125gallon tank under his? my parents wont let me do that they say its a waiste of a tank.

They might think its a waste but for a tank that large, whatever filter you buy or build, is going to be of a decent size. 500 gallons is a lot of water to treat, let alone if you have it heavily stocked. One thing is for sure, filtration is the last thing you want to go skimpy on, but I am sure you will get it all figured out and it will look awesome completed.

think you should re-think. im not sure how worth it it would be with only 10gs. youd need more than just the w/d. like said though, least your working it out now, not after ;)

i have the w.d and rate it A+++++

I've searched mfk for 2 hours now and cant find a cheap huge way to do it.

I'd rather go out and buy a 50gallon tank and have a 20gallon media area than buy a 400filter :)
