Great White sharks are a threatened species but I heard of an aquarium that kept one.

Thats sad, I wish I could have that arro and I would give it a tank 3 times as big as that.

Asian aros don't get as big as their South American relatives. The general minimum for a single fish on a website based in Singapore that specializes in them is 4x2x2, with 5x2x2 recommended for more comfort. Many of the guys there have comm tanks in 5x2x2 or 6x2x2 tanks.

They are indeed a federally banned species.

The ones on display in these public aquariums most likely came from confiscated animals that were not euthanized.
