They are a big river catfish! Mine didn't care. Slow or fast current, he was a pig. Turning cartwheels to get shrimp or other fish. Most insane eater I've ever seen. Reminded me of a snakehead eating!

I read in Burgess`s atlas of cats- Quote- Larger individuals were observed at the Rio Madiera rapids feeding on medium sized characins 20-40 cm that convieniently are trapped below the crest of a cataract during low water. Goulding reports that more than any other catfishes it appears to actively chase these fishes in the turbulent waters caused by the cataract.
