if you like red devils, go with them. they are an awesome personality filled fish that can bring an owner lots of pleasure.

tank mates may or may not be hard to get in there with a devil or two. i had 2 that were extremely tame for a number of years, and would happily let little convicts live in peace. however, thats not the norm for these fish.

IMO most devils are much better off suited to having a tank to themselves. maybe the addition of a pleco or bichir since they have a chance at warding off a devil with their armour and ability to hide in small places.

Grow out a Managuense. Prob couldnt house it for life so you might eventually need an upgrade (maybe...), but those are some sweet lookin fish.

yeh i think i will go with the the red devil pair and considering the barred midas i have been watching videos on them and seem to be my kind of fish but ill keep you guys updated on the tank and what ever i put in there thanks for all the help

When I had a 4x2x2 120 gal empty I put a pair of Trimacs and a pair of Convicts in it... I can only hope the Trimacs will be able to stay here together for life, but so far they get along well (M10", F7")...
