well i guess its a matter of opinion. everyone could see someone elses passion and hobby as a waste of time. if i were you, i would break down your tanks and sell the fish-but keep your tanks and equipment-save up your money to get an apartment of your own and move out.
i joined the navy and left a week after graduation because i had parents that were stifling and opinionated. i made it, and i think if you save up your money, or buddy up with a friend and have a stable job you will make it too...

how could you be ruining the thread...that is excellent mentor material .. from sharing your experience Edwin can learn it is not just him that goes through the hoopla with parents ...many of us crossed that bridge... and in the end we love and rejoice that we had great parents...just not always can parents and children see eye to eye.. very good story Trust..
