But if he was really dumb, I would expect something along the lines of "70 gallon tank" (or any none standard size...)
There's always a better deal around if you look hard enough. I just picked up a 275 acrylic for $350 and a 180 glass/covers/stand/lights for $250.
My best idea was advertising in the Little Nickel with "CASH For Aquariums. 55 gallons and up. Glass or acrylic. Leaks OK/No cracks. $1/gallon. Call --------. All messages returned"
The ads are $5 for 2 weeks and I only advertise before the Christmas holidays and just before tax time when folks are looking for quick cash. I picked up over 40 tanks with this ad. Most were $1/gal. Some were more because of stands and other accessories. And, a couple were less due to the owners believing their tank was less than its' actual volume.

Sounds like a good idea. I paid 150 for a 125 with lights, glass hoods, UG filters and it came with a crappy metal stand..
