the fish will not grow in length but still get very wide like a normal kong ming
if you look at some real SBKM then its easy to see it has had some kind of human messing with it to stay that football shape
its not easy to see on this km as its not a real sbkm
Are you saying that a true SBKM is bred that way, and this fish has had its back broken to mimick a SBKM?
I'm still not understanding how a broken back could cause such a huge deformity without resulting in paralysis. The reason I say is that I've seen breeding accomplish a very similar deformity that you see in the short bodied fish that you get in in dogs such as the the French Bulldog. If you look at an x-ray of, you see a spine that upon first glance does in fact look like it should be broken. There is a very abrupt v-shape between the cervical vertebrae and the thoracic vertebrae of the that gives this dog its look. I remember being shocked the first time I saw this at the dramatic ability to breed this severe deformity of the vertebral column without affecting the spinal cord itself. Should this dramatic v-shape happen to shorten the body not via a genetic basis, it would completely paralyze the animal.
