Scar Face and Xena ;)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the compliments guys ;)

When tems are in Paca form they are usually friendly but when in azul they are totally different animals. IMO, they are the smartest and largest of them all.

622 is the size of the tank and I personally think that the aquascaping helps bring out the spawning behavior and colors.

Let us share our azul form tems in this forum so that everyone is aware that tems can be just as beautiful as any pbass when in the right 'mood'.

amazing fish, love the pics!

Nice.

Thanks guys.;) Actually the last pix reminds me of the movie '28 Days Later'. You know, those deranged infectants chasing and howling at uninfected humans.

that's what I thought too. So how are these basses classified as temensis?

All peacock bass have slightly different colouration depending on where they are from. When these tems were younger they they would have had the white dashes and dots. Now that they are adults they have lost those markings and turned green. Take a look at the temensis that anglers catch in the amazon, these are identical. The black markings by the eyes are a dead give away that these are tems, mono's don't have those black marks.

Rio you are one hell of a photographer. Can we have a full tank shot please.

;) thanks for appreciating my Tems and 'photo skill' guys. Tim said it best; Tems come in two form; Paca is when they are young and not breeding. Azul is when they are on 'heat' ;) What I hope to achieve is to inspire tem owners to keep theirs for at least 2 years. The larger they get, the richer the color. Tim I am using my 7 years old 4 mega pix C4000 olympus. With all the pixel race this one still takes the cake but I am keeping my ear on the ground for G10 and LX3. Will go take some full tank shot soon...

Xena = 24inch and 7.5lb (ate a 1/2 pound tilapia today)
Scar Face = 19 inch and 4lb

Thanks for reading..... ;)
