i have a new tank that has had fish in it for about 2 mounths. I was wondering if it is normal that when every time i turn on the light, the fish just hover a round the bottom of the tank. When the light goes back off they start swimmin around. Is there anything i can do to help them fell more comfortable when the light is on??

try turning on another light in the room for 5 minets before turning on the aquarium light......they probly get blinded from the bright light the same way we do in the dark
my gourami's used to go crazy, gave themselves loads of scars trying to burry through gravel. they heal though. i guess its normal for skittish fish when startled
