Scariest movie?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The Child's Play series was absolutely terrifying when I was a kid...still totally creepy. Oh, and Pet Semetary...yikes. 99% of horror movies these days can't touch these old classics, the fear factor just isn't there...mostly just gore.

Love House of 1000 corpses and The Devil's Rejects, but they aren't scary.

Oh...someone sent me a film festival movie to check out. Quite possibly the most "disturbing" movie I've ever seen. Antichrist with William Defoe...you guys should check it out just to experience that movie ;). If genital mutilation is your thing, you'll like it...just don't say I didn't warn you. I can't say enough how much of a "WTF" movie it is. Heck, PM me if you want me to send it to you on the computer...I'd love to see what other people think ;).

thats mainly because they are PG or PG13 rated..

good horror movies have traditionally had swearing, violence and gore, nudity (if you have sex in a horror movie, you are going to die lol) etc.

its what makes up the genre.

but this PG crap these days makes everything so watered down, cleansed, sanitized and censored they can barely make anything good these days.

and its all remakes anyway..

:iagree:
I hate all this PG crap nowadays. They try to make it so more people can watch it, I guess. All it does though is make the majority of horror fans not want to go see it. I enjoy horror for all the blood, guts, and nudity. The remakes wouldn't be too bad if they were actually good. All these crappy American remakes of foreign flicks are worse than the originals big time.

Watched the crazies remake yesterday, not bad for a remake i just wish old one faced timothy olyphant, would learn to express his emotions alittle more than just looking like a corpse.

Midnight Meat Train
High Tension
The Abandoned
Wolfcreek
