Scarlet Pleco cost guess

Anyone want to take a guess how much a scarlet pleco will cost by 2017 and 2019?

Does this have anything to do with the debt ceiling. There will be several factors there availability and whether people are breeding them.

Well, based on the cost of the most recent blue-eyed plecos that came up for sale it would appear that the sky is the limit.

Well I doubt the price would go down..... it could be pretty expensive I think around the current blue eyed panaque range

If people are able to breed them and get the fry to survive to adulthood the price will go down sufficiently. Look how expensive roseline sharks were a few years ago...I just picked up 4 at 3.5 inches a piece for $30. 5 years ago 1 at that size would cost $35. They are bred on fish farms in Florida now thus the price decrease. The same would be true for the scarlet.

Talking about roseline.... they have them at petsmart for 6.99 each, i picked up 4.

As far as scarlet, I think price will go higher and higher

Like I said the cost will probably go down because more people are starting to breed them.
