I’d avoid the force feedings for now.kno4te from ypur observation, would it be wise to continue force feeds for another week or just monitor it for now?
Scarlet Pleco unusual growth

hey there popping in again. The pleco seems stable and his eyes are still a little buldged but I notoced he ate food and the poop is still coming out stringy and the same color as the food. I ran another water change and used the pipette lastnight to give him a mixture of metroplex and kanaplex mixed with water. I am not sure how to proceed as I never encountered stringy poop that did not clear with medication. He seems energetic and aware of his surroundings... water parameters are pristine and I do water changes every 2 days to try and bring him back. He is not as responsive to food but he will eat a little, before the sick he would eat greedily with lights on and off. I am confused as by now with meds and good water he should not have stringy poop and a slight buldge in both eyes. Any clues what could be the cause?
If it’s same color as food and clear in between then it could be from constipation/food. Would just watch and not treat for now. Keep offering food with a break in between to allow digestion and passage. Glad to hear some improvement.
Thanks a bunch, yes the poop is the same color as his food. I will hold off meds for now since today is the 2 week mark. Thanks for excellent advice.
