I just got a 5" L025 Scarlet Pleco. I put him in with 4-6" to 8" Bichirs,a 12" Jar,a 14" Tigrinus cat,and a 8" Marble cat i, in a 120gal tank. I noticed his nice lyre tail had been nipped.He's missing the top stringer (?) on his tail. Don't know which fish is nipping. I moved him to a 90gal all by himself. Not enouph fish for a whole 90gal tank. I have a 240gal tank with a High finned Pleco and a common Pleco. I wonder if they would get along. I read the L 025 is carneverous. I have an African lungfish,a Niger, Black Aro, a 12" tiger cat, a 10"+ Wide bar Dat, and a 6" NGT also in the 240. They all get along fine. I understand the L 025 Plecs are aggressive. I can either add to the 90gal or move him to the 240gal. Suggestions welcome

I would watch him with some of your big cats like the 14" tigris. These plecs are almost impossible to find now with the pleco ban. I would keep him in the 90 with some large barbs and non-agressive cichlids. I feed my 6 inch terra min large flakes and bottom dweller tablets as a staple. I also throw in a mussel with the shell on 2 times a week. He goes nuts for mussels. This pleco will not touch and vegetable matter. I tried everything. I know he is a carnivore but I do see him eat algae off the glass once in awhile. Hang on to this pleco. They are great!
I agree with AllanO1230. pseudacanthicus can be pretty territorial so less bottom dwellers the better off you might be especially at only 5". 14" tig could have a pretty big mouth cant they? What about moving the smaller dat into the 90? or Ooh, I know, He would be nice and safe in my tank!
