Ok, for some reason everytime I try to go under the pleco forum, it keeps saying my token time has expired and my screen goes nuts. It's been doing this for the last 2 days, so feel free to move this thread.

Anyways, I got at my lfs the other day what was labeled as a sultan pleco....I knew immediately what it was....a L025 scarlet. I would put up a pic, but he hides everytime I go near the tank, and my camara is on it's last legs. He's black, with darker black spots, red finned on the edges, and has these crazy hooded crocodile looking orangish eyes.

I"ve read they can be aggressive with their territory with other bottom dwellers. I've witnessed this, and then some...

He's about 4 inches, and paid $89.99....good deal, or too much??

ok, I will do my best. But the quality won't be great. Got them, will upload now

He did good, considering I chased him out of his home for a couple minutes, but like I said....my camara sucks

alrighty, so your thoughts? I thought it was a scarlet, but could be wrong. Like I said, my lfs had it labeled as "sultan pleco", but I remember seeing pics of this type of pleco online, and just fell in love...

I'm sure its not a scarlet ive seen in other peoples tanks/in shows- I do recall tri-beacon pleco looking like that?

sultans are way different in coloration with grey spots (white or yellow depending on age tips) - I have a collection of L-264s known as sultans myself.
