Scary Fish

My kitten has been scared for several weeks. She peeks around the corner into the living room. I thought something or someone has been coming up to the living room windows and scaring her. Today there was a loud boom (like an explosion) when one of the boys slammed into a tank lid sending a lot of water on the floor. Kitten ran out of the living room, crouched down behind a protective wall and peered around the corner into the living room. It was the fish all this time. One body slam into a tank lid sends a tsunami of water onto the floor. No point in refinishing the wood floor until the fish are moved. Can't keep the water off the floor.

Who would have thought all it takes to keep a cat away from the tank is a couple of monster pacu.

You have to record this on video somehow. This would be hilarious to see.

I've been in the living room when one of the boys did a body slam maneuver. Kitten was so scared that she jumped off the top level of her cat tree to run out of the room. NOT GOOD.




I am relieved that it's the fish and not something outside that is scaring her. I can usually tell who did the lid slamming, as the culprit would have missing scales, cuts, slices. Leonardo sliced off his lower lip after I forgot to slide the lid in place. It was flapping around attached only at one corner of his mouth. Fortunately for him, the lip regenerated, and he no longer has this zombie look.
