How big are your fish? If they are large than try a couple schools of 20-30 each glowlight and neon tetras> I know it sounds nuts but most very large fish won't bother the tiny ones. I have seen vids of shoals of small tetras swimming around the head of wild aros like pilot fish with a shark, the large predators keep the medium sized ones that would eat the tetras at bay. It looks really cool. Even if some get eaten you are not out much money so you might think it is worth the experiment.

I say go for it! I had a small school of white clouds that lasted about two months, then I went on vacation and my white clouds were gone. I may try again while the aro is still young.

yes and they would look beautiful too!!!!!! but if you have a 2ft aro i guarantee it wouldnt bother for some small 1" tetras

Dan, no problem, Ihave never done it because the fish I have kept were mid-sized, Try it when the aros are full grown. The image just stuck in my mind's eye of this glittering cloud around the aro's head and I have seen the same thing in other vids since I have been watching for it. I did have pristellas last for months with my big rpb. I did say it was an experiment though and that if it did not work it wouldn't cost that much.

Yeah ive seen full grown asian aros in planted tanks with tiny neons and cardinals swimming around it. Impressive sight.

Uaru ferdz...or Hoplarchus psittacus!! :D I agree on the large fish small fish thingy! Its not worth it for the big fish to chase down the little fish...too much energy expended that it negates the benefit it would get from eating them.
