School Field Trip to Yaquina Bay

I never thought about it that much, but we DO go on a lot of field trips. This year we wil have gone on 6 or 7, including an overnighter at Opal Creek (arguably one of the most pristine pieces of old-growth temperate rainforest in the world).

Our school is 10 miles from the nearest town, so for us to do anything outside of school is a trip.

By the way, what's "Dayum"

Yeah, I guess I should have tried saying it out loud

I wish we had a lot of money, but we really don't. All of our computers are hand-me-downs from the high school and my math textbooks are 13 years old, but we know how to have fun!

We are very lucky to have a hard-working parents' club that helps pay for our trips, plus we apply for all the grants/scholarships that we can (Thank you to the Bandon Submarine Cable Council for the grant that allowed us to go to Newport!)
