I am looking to add some colorful schooling fish to my 75 gallon tank which has 2 severums.

The sevs are about 4-5" and very peaceful. I should be ok adding community type fish as long as they arent small enough for the sevs to eat.

Was thinking of lemon tetras or bosemans rainbow fish.

Any suggestions on something colorful I can add to my tank

thanks!

Congo Tetras would look really nice with your Severums. As would a large group of Odessa Barbs.

Also Hyphessobrycon anisitsi aka Buenos Aires Tetra. The others that were recomened are good picks too.

+1 for BA Tetras, they are quite the little things. Hardy and always active, but they get nippy sometimes if they aren't well fed from what I hear.

I've seen hatchets and Scissor tails used as well.

×3 for buenos tetras.

I went cheapo and got a bunch of rosie red and grey stripe minnows which actually look ok when they grow a bit and they add some nice schooling action. I also have some geo 2 inchers in with mine.

I would go with a big school of serpaes, the red color really pops with the severums. You're pretty much OK with anything, sevs generally aren't fish eaters...I suppose they might eat a neon, but generally speaking any schooler should work.

basically any tetra with a deep body, serpaes, black skirts, colombian blues, lemons, etc.
