School mentality

Just curious. Have you ever been the first person at the movies? You pick your perfect spot, get comfortable, and then the next ten people in sit within a couple of seats of yours. Now instead of peace your in the middle of a crowd. My question is, do all fish display this pack(or school) mentality or are my fish just stupid. They have the entire tank to swim in and they cluster together.

My blackfin shark-catfish thingy's do that. I have three and they constantly stalk each other around the tank. The rest of them just do thier own thing though.

dunno, but myself, and several family and friends enjoy people watching at the movies more so than the movie, and usually we're one of the first to arrive. and yes.. wherever you sit first.. others are bound to crowd around within 1-3 rows and also likely to be within 5-10 seats..LMAO....
wtf people... whole place to yourselves and you wann be by me and my girl!

Basically, all the fish I have swim with their own species. For example my tiger barbs, pictus cats, angels, Oscars, cons and silver dollars all swim together. Actually right next to each other.
