I know my local big als has a iguana display tank and the iduana stays under 20" im not sure the speices but they keep it in what looks like a 3'x24tall"x18" exo terra
Gargoyles are expensive but worth it but don’t do the mistake that literally every pet keeper in florida does get an iguana you know beside greenies we have a few different species of spiny tails especially the one that is most commonly available the mexican spiny tailed iguana (Ctenosaura pectinata) they are big aggressive/defensive and eat a ton so don’t get an iguana but if your set on an iguana get a helmeted iguana(Corytophanes cristatus) or a Yucatan spiny-tailed iguana(C. defensor)
No ackies are a desert species and like all monitors they are big(in the case of the ackie big attitude and personality) and they are intelligent they need a huge enclosure and mostly they are not a tree dwelling species they are actually a ground dwelling monitor they are evolved to go into rock crevices in Australia and hunt in them also they use it too hide that why their tale is evolved too be spiny.
If I’m not mistaken they are very good climbers and enjoy vertical tanks
edit: and only get like 20-30 inches
what about club tailed iguana males max out at 14" females 8" my big als has them
