I have no idea to be honest, all I know is that it’s a spiny tailed iguana

The gargoyle geckos get to be hundreds of dollars too, I might stick to a spiny tailed iguana considering I saw one for 35$ at my LFS and e was a baby so I could raise him right. I want a lizard I can bring into my LFS, handle well, and is pretty good size, chameleons are very fragile from what ive heard
Gargoyles are expensive but worth it but don’t do the mistake that literally every pet keeper in florida does get an iguana you know beside greenies we have a few different species of spiny tails especially the one that is most commonly available the mexican spiny tailed iguana (Ctenosaura pectinata) they are big aggressive/defensive and eat a ton so don’t get an iguana but if your set on an iguana get a helmeted iguana(Corytophanes cristatus) or a Yucatan spiny-tailed iguana(C. defensor)

how about an ackie monitor?
No ackies are a desert species and like all monitors they are big(in the case of the ackie big attitude and personality) and they are intelligent they need a huge enclosure and mostly they are not a tree dwelling species they are actually a ground dwelling monitor they are evolved to go into rock crevices in Australia and hunt in them also they use it too hide that why their tale is evolved too be spiny.

If I’m not mistaken they are very good climbers and enjoy vertical tanks

edit: and only get like 20-30 inches
