Schooling fish for moderate-heavy planted tank?

For now, I picked up 7 rainbow fish, but will be adding another few (probably 7 more) within the next couple of weeks. A school of 30 tiger barbs came into mind as one of the local fish store have them on sale but I might pass :D

Most barbs eat plants tiger barbs are small so they don't do a lot of damage but Filament barbs being a medium sized larger barb can do some damage. Roselines are a nice size fish that can be kept in a planted tank. Only problem with Danio's is they stay mostly on the surface they move very fast constantly which can make a peaceful tranquil planted tank seem very busy.
