Schooling fish with Bichirs?

Do they have to be schooling fish?

I have a flagtail and pearsei in with my LJs/UJs and they are constantly moving. They've also strangely become best friends and are never apart.

Not in the least. Mine happens to be quite timid and stays away from the bichirs. He also gets fed a wide variety of food, including veggie-based pellets, which keeps him happy.

I'm a believer that keeping your predators well fed, but not to the point of them being unhealthy, to help keep their aggression at bay.

My flagtail doesn't bother my bichirs. I also have a trio of Severums and an Oscar in there. Oh, and a GG. I had tinfoil barbs, but I decided to go a different route. and just going to have those 4 cichlids and the GG be my mid swimmers.

Can anyone say if a group of rainbow cichlids might work? I always wondered if they’d get big enough... they’d be cool looking and have more personality than a regular schooler.

Feel it should be fine. Would get large adults only.

U can try anything 3- 4 times the length of their head.

So my Bichir is sick not sure why! I don’t have. Pleco in there and ph is good temp is about 75 he’s been with me about two years never has a issue he’s in a 90 gallon tank I sent you some pictures I think they went through
