I was wondering, what king of schooling fish can you put in a 120 with sa,ca, and a 15 inch arowana (don't worry, that is not his permanent home). I don't want to do tinfoil barbs or balla sharks because they get huge.

I use silver dollars in with my Festae pair. They work well... But, they are absolute pigs so be careful using them with shy fish as they can outcompete them for food.

Mine are around 4 1/2-5" now.

How big do silver dollars get? Also, would rainbow fish or congo tetras work?

Depends on the species. Most, between 3-5" but some get around 10-12".

Most smaller schooling fish will work but I've used giant danios and tiger barbs and.... well, there's none left because they were all eaten.

So now I have the sds.

I used to have danios as dithers but my pike managed to kill them all. Silver dollars are one of the best choices they're tough and its very hard for a cichlid to grip onto them

I've used white and black skirt tetras as dithers for festae and Texas grow out
