ive got a male texas cichlid in a 75 gal all by himself. are there any schooling fish i could put in with him that wont be eatin. i had 5 small silver dollars in with him, be he slowly picked them off. i was thinking buenos aires tetras would work.

I would suggest large tinfoil barbs. At least as big as the Texas cichlid. Rearrange is tank when you put the dithers in. If you don't disorient the Texas you are wasting your time with this. He has to feel Iike he is somewhere he has never been before. That way he will be less territorial.
I would keep him solo, there isn't going to be much room in a 75g for anything else.
I agree with Dan518, the 75 gallon is too small for him alone, much less anything else.
