trying to think of some schooling fish to go with my ploys?

does any one have any ideas the tank is 5 x 2 x 2 and is planted.

What kind are they? You need something big enough to not get eaten. Silver dollars would work, or pretty much any other large community fish.

SDs might eat the plants though.

Id say to get some congo tetras and stick with the whole african theme....

Giant danios and hatchets will eventually be eaten and which loaches are you exactly referring to? Most loaches love to eat plants if they cannot be provided with veggies.
