Schooling fish?

Tiger barbs! Semi-Aggressive when in small numbers, but they do school together. Using 6 of them to cycle my tank and they look pretty neat.

I was considering giant danios but I dont think cramming a lot in a 30 would be good.

How many can be kept in a 30?

does the 1gal/1in fish apply to tetras/other small fish?

I dont think tetras produce a large bioload, but im not an expert

I am looking for a species that schools together. I like the shoaling effect of large schools and wanted to know what species does this best.

I would like to know which would be best to keep in a 30gal. I am looking for a group that is hardy and colorful.

If you have any please share pictures
Rainbowfish.

They are a very hardy schooling fish. They come in a wide variety of colors and sizes. Some varieties are small as two inches when fully grown, most are about three inches when grown, but some get a bit larger. These are peaceful fish, that do well in a planted tank. They are all active swimmers, and usually do their spawning "dance" in the early morning. I like to watch their show while I have my morning coffee.

Lots of info about them on the internet, with color pictures of these beautiful fish.
