If your going with rummynose in a 29 gallon I'd say 7 to 10 ideally I think 8 would be perfect and as far as zebra danio they stay more to the top of the tank and dart around pretty randomly where as rummynose are more to the bottom and mid range of the tank and usually stay in a nice tight shaol so it make a little nicer effect
