* It's worth for $15 if you have a tank for it and scomb tent to have short life.
* Characin species don't mix with Cichlid.

I'd say it is a scomb, and worth 15, these don't get on well with cichlids, to fragile and not really able to hold it own with the personality it has. But not all characins don't get along with cichlids. Just certain ones that are sensitive such as payara, tiger fish, cudas etc. there is definitely characins that can be mixed with cichlids though.
