they usually mystyriously die around 12" in captivity, alot of money for a fish youll only have bout a year till it kicks the can. if they thought it was an armatus theyd proboably be askin $500.
Good point didnt think about that.

on a sidenote why did the name under my name change i had it set to "Fish on Steriods" but now its changed

yeah ur right and im not gonna put any money into a fish that will mysteriusly die in a year does anyone have them for more tha a year?
does anyone know why they die

I dont think its so mysterious. Usually they arent fed the best diet, because they are hard to ween off live food. Also I believe once they get to a decent size in nature, they migrate from the calmer waters where they are hatched, into faster moving water. Therefore it is said that they need highly oxygenated water. I think in order to keep these scombs to a decent life and size, you need a tank that has a lot of surface aggitation and current. At least this is what I've gathered while trying to do my homework about Hydrolycus species.

it looks like this

thats a scomb.
i dont see why people dont like them just cause they die at 12 inches.
mine were weened off live foods and were really cool.
theyre still in my freezer. :D
i see em here for like 20 dollars.
large ones,7 inches and up usually 40 dollars.
