Scope out the breeding colors on my Bsrred Midas pair

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
For some reason I wasn't able to multi quote as usual. My right click ain't workin'.

Aenemax "Wildcaught where are ya located?"
Eagle rock in North east Los Angeles.

XR "hmmm, my barred pair don't have the same kind of red. What generation are these?"-
They are domestic bred, The Parents' Father is the son of Cichlidscens's Big head (you can read all about him on Cichlidscene.com) and the mother is a wildcaught NORMAL midas from jeff rapps. By the way Cichlidscene gave the infamous big head to Rapps to put out for stud. So when you order non wildcaught Barreds from rapps you are getting his descendants. He's old or dead by now so not sure if he's still throwin fry. A great example of a barred that came from this breeding is Gani's Monster who is bigger and badder than Big head.

Nuth88 "Man those are stunners! Thanks for sharing! Look like Sp.Isletas with the red eyes and the deep reds! Dang Nice!"
Thanks, Means a lot. They do look like the RI.

And GUAPOTE is right, Eagle rock is between glendale and pasadena zip is 90041.

Thanks all!

NICE BARRED, i love them.

Beautiful fish! My first encounter with these fish was Gani's big male and he's like a puppy. Wished I didn't live so far I'd love to get some fry from you. :) Mike

Sad to say they're all gone. The light burned out and the fry wandered and were picked off. Is anyone interested in the pair? Local trades?
I'm gonna keep a bigger male sibling solo. 45 for the pair.

That's true. that fish is incredible.

That's an awesome looking pair Javier, are they from the same stock as the ones you gave to me? I ended up with a male and a female, but they've been in different tanks a month after I got them from you, but after seeing yours I might have to put them together.
