I'm going to silicone a pice of glass in the middle of the top frame. That should hold it.

Yes, craigslist rocks.

I bought my 125g off craigslist, and it was an older tank with no center brace, it just had really think glass. That thing was HEAVY.

This is an older tank. It was in a bar for 15 years. It weighs about 200 lbs. Was NOT fun bringing it down to my basement.

I have the same tank, It took me 2 other people just to lift it off the ground. Im not looking foward to moving it in about 7-10 months, and on top of that, I'll be moving it to florida.

what you gonna stock it with???

got a few tanks off craigslist... 130gal acrylic for 50 bux, 100gal glass for 50 bux. got one of arowanas off craigslist as well, 17 inches for 50 bux. i love craigslist haha

Heck Yeah! Craigslist I think has way better deals than ebay. I got a 300g plexi with dual corner overflows for free!!!! :grinno: A custom 50g wet/dry sump for $100 bucks! Almost made off with a 125g plexi with canopy and stand for $175 but somebody beat me to it! It all depends on where you live too. I stay in the SF Bay Area where like 3 million people live so there are tons of deals on Craigslist. The secret is patience and costantly checking for new postings. So everybody get online and start watching that Craigslist!:D

Just a little update about the tank frame and support. I talked to a guy at a great fish store in my area. He said that if the fram edges are not routered (sp), it never had a center cross support.

I went home and looked at the frame and it is all one piece. Very thick compared to the frame of a 125/150. Looks like I wont need the center support. I finished scraping out the old silicone last night. I will seal it this weekend and then test it next week sometime.
