How long do you quarantine polys'?
I have found every time I buy wild Polys they have hair like worms on their body's after a week or so??? This happens to me every time but I don't buy very many, maybe one or two a year. I just bought 5 ropes and they were infested but I noticed it after I put them in my 450! I don't think I quarantined them long enough? Obviously duh lol.

Thanks guys. They are 10" head to tail. One is closer to 11". They were 69.99 each . Not a bad deal I think.

Should check the classifieds more often.....I had some 6-9'' for 40.....If you come on up.....4 for 200...little bigger now:)

I am glad you asked. Normally I do a 28 day quarantine. In this case I opted to do things a bit differently. I am a really careful person especially regarding disease / parasites. This time I treated them prophylactic ally with para guard from Seachem (my favorite multi use med) I also have run a vortex xl diatom (with their existing filtration) recharging every 12 hours to grab any possible parasites. I also have been observing very closely for any odd behavior or visible signs (white feces , itching , ick spots etc) They don't appear to have any and I feel safe putting them in the Bichir tank.
Another factor is I run a 18 watt turbo twist UV on the bichir tank full time and the vortex xl will be run for a few weeks after their addition. I feel safe with this situation.
Sorry for the long winded reply :D

Wait you got 4 for 200 currently ?! Send me a PM :nilly:

yeah man ive got a 6" or so ornate that ive had for months and it pretty much just hides and eats expensive fish haha, but ive got a 10-11" Sen in a diff tank that swims all day and hand feeds as well, hes awesome.

I have family in Sactown and they got hardly any exotic fish out there. Sactown is a good place to raise families, nice lawn, and cows. Anyways, nice pick up.
