Epic score!
My dad was getting his corvette tuned by some guy, the guy was done and I gave my dad a ride to pick it up. I notice a large, empty, FILTHY aquarium sitting in there. Didn't say anything abt it, until they started talking about gas prices and someone made a reference to storing it in the tank, blah blah.
The guy starts rambling about how his son had brought it home a couple years ago and never put anything it it. I immediately asked him if he wanted to sell it to me, and the guy says I can have it FREE if I get it out of his damn shop.
I could barely hide my excitement lol... luckily I was driving a truck and we loaded it right up.
Get it home, measure it up, its a 180 gal, 72x24x24!! He also gave me all the stuff he had with it: Hood, lights, a Magnum 350 canister (which looks like its about 15 yrs old, but I plugged it in and it fired right up lol), and a big ornamental driftwood. It also had an undergravel, but I tossed it. Have it all cleaned up now, looks like a totally different tank from when it was in the shop.
All I need to do is build a stand! Pretty stoked. Just wanted to share my good fortune with MFK.
