I went to the dollar store today and they had like 5 or so diff types of scrubbies they are all nammed scrubbie buddies... i dident know what type to get so i got 1 of each Ill post pics of them when my camera charges.

I dont know which was the correct kind to put in my wet dry so i bought all of the types.

Pics later

I rather post the pics of them and let you all decide :) taken the pictures now.
5 mins

gota resize it hold on....

the one on the left is a car scrubbie.(1 in a pack)
the second one on the left kinda looks like nylon(2 in a pack)
the pink one (second one on the right) is for like dishes andstuff(4 in a pack)
and than the one on the right is a 6pack of scouring pads heavy duty

Than they had a bag of just normal square spongs u use for dishes, i dont know exactly what one is the correct one to use as a media, could u guys help me out? what ever one u say im going out later and buying all of them

i use the green heavy duty pad in place of a reguler filter cartridge and stuff the multi colored sponges behind that.i soaked them for 24 hrs prior to using and the water was still perfectly clean no dies or debris.

hmm I think im gona go out and buy like 4 packs of the heavy dutie ones, than buy a bunch of the multi colored ones ( the second one on the left)

All of them look like they would be better for mechanical filtration rather than bio-filtration. The first is just a sponge. They are great for absorbing gunk until they clog up. Translation: you will have to take them out to clean them. The middle two look like they have sponge cores. Same problem. Take a close look to see if they have a seam on their edges. That is a sure indication that they have sponges in them. The green package looks like basic generic Scotch-brite pads. I don't know if they will load up on you.

Good bio-media should not have to be cleaned. There are dozens of pictures here of the round plastic scrubbies; They do not load up.
