Yeah scrubbies are awesome to keep in a filter to use to seed a new tank. i have them in everything from diy filters to my fx5

that light brown, fuzzy, slimey, earthy, accumulation on the SCRUBBIES and the surounding sump area is the GOODS!!
I am growing the same stuff on my 1000 in my sump as well...Some may think it is unsightly, I see it as Benificial Bacteria LOVE! and that's what we put them there for...
