That would suck if I got certified and had nowhere to dive. I would probably move, got to be by water personally as long as it's deep enough to dive in.
i think diving seems pretty awesome and my dad did it a lot when he was stationed in hawaii.. but I'm against spearfishing. takes the sport out of the game especially on large bottom dwellers like grouper and snapper
I don't approve of spearfishing either (unless it's for invasive fish) it does take the challenge out and gives an unfair advantage. I just dive to watch the fish and observe their natural behavior.
