A third Dat died with no apparent reason , no wounds or external parasites. All three deaths were spread out within a period of about 4 months. Finally had the presence of mind to take some photos. Do you guys see anything wrong with it... well other then the fact that its dead. Ermmm... Image attachment function seems to be gone! :WHOA:

Looks like some pretty bad wounds near the mouth region. But it's hard to tell from the pics.

u have to accept there could be many internal health related problems, unless you can do an autopsy.

I did several autopsies in the past on ATs due to SDS. Unless you know what you're looking for - most likely you find anything.

U can't have done an autopsy unless your qualified to do so. Fish autopsy is expensive in uk.

Sounds like U just cut open your dead fish hoping to find something....

Thank you for completely reiterating my point - verbatim.

I think this is where the confusion from your post eminated from. I think your missing the 'will not' in there.

Hi,

Just got a couple of Dats. What's SDS stands for?

And Teohha, u wanna sell yr dats if u are finding convicts more enjoyable :D? Are they Indons?

What's the size of yr dats? And what have you been feeding them? I strongly suspected that food is the source of the disease if you have been making regular water change?

Are you feeding them live food? Live guppies, shrimp? Have they been sufficiently quarantined long enough?

Can you describe any odd behavior or symptoms prior to their death? Were they breathing hard at the surface? Gills opened or irritated? Were they scratching themselves? Staying in a corner or at the bottom? Were there any physical injuries? Try to recall, as any abnormal behavior better help dignose the disease afflicting yr dats. If not, ypu may end up losing more.

The pics look like they have been dead more than 24-48 hours, so it's hard to tell.
