Sea Bass??

Well, I did a fish order for the LFS where I work today and there were a couple of things I wasn't sure of on the list. One of which was listed under brackish as 'Sea Bass' . So I ordered a couple to see what they were. Before they come in , anyone have any ideas what species/family these guys are? I figured they'd be brackish water juveniles of some sort of bass, but what is commonly imported? Care requirements? Thanks in advance,

if under brackish my guess would be sea bass = striper's

Ive got to see a photo of them. They cant be the same seabass we catch down the Cape Cod waters.

A LFS around my area is selling little baby Barramundi's as Sea Bass ? $2.50 each...last I check...

i dunno online ive seen sea bass and Barramundi on the same list

these are what we catch around here in ri, black sea bass but it is full sw not brackish

I'd guess they're barramundi (Lates catcarifer). TFD has them both on the same list even though they're the same - they come in 2 different sizes there. Unless one was significantly more expensive than the other, I bet this is the case

i got one its a chinese perch i saw that on a list so i had to investigate

Sea bass??

That's another name wholesalers use to label Lates calcarifer.

I'm sure of it.
