Seachem flourish and excel

Thanks rogder/slayer Is it even needed ? I read that it harms the vals but didnt know it messes with the moses too. I guess i could hold off on using it unless algea starts forming

Im outta control evidently. I dose flourish 2-3 times a week and double dose excel every day. And I use root tabs.

My plants are growing wild, algae is all but gone.

The Fish are doing great, I'm a little apprehensive about the excel (liquid co2) long term, I need to buy a proper pressurized tank and regulator.

Mostly crypts, anubias, and some sort of mysterious fast growing java fern I got from the lfs, its dark green and propogates by sprouting new leaves ontop of old leaves, not from the rhizome. if that makes sense. I've tried lots of plants but settled for a select few that were impossible for me to kill. Haha

BTW I hate jungleval. I could never ever ever get it to take off in any set up. Chems or no chems. Ferts or no ferts.

Mud im gonna stick to rhe easy ones too. Really want the moss carpet to take off. Already poking through the plastic mesh

When you have enough (or more) plants for your tank size then algae will be gone, I still invest in some Octocinlus if you have community setup tank, it will get rip any algae before any out break (My Octo is notorious on brown algae that common take over anubias leaf).
On a side note: if you use DW then there will be some type of algae/fungus that will grow on it after some times and my Octo never touch those algae/fungus but my royal plecos love that type of food, its keep my DW clean at all time :D
 
Yup using dw. Will just do half dose once a week and see how it goes
