  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I do not be-leave that matrix will lower my nitrate, that goes against my purpose for using it, that's to
process ammonia and nitrite, if my nitrate aint creep-en I am going to start freak-en.

Matrix does no more to remove nitrates than pot scrubbers and sponge filters. They (Seachem) print pages of mumbo jumbo to sucker people in who don't know what they are staring blankly at. in thick biofilm is a layer of anerobic bscteria. That offers a limited amount of denitrification. Works on golfballs as well. I will sell you 5 gallon buckets of gravel all day long for $150!

Yes it is very over priced pumice. It seam like nature if often mimicked, and replicated.
From my own experience at 50 gpd flow. Thru pumice. It would take about 10 cu/ft to reduce nitrates. The slower the flow the less volume of media.
