Seachem Matrix nightmare

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't think the Matrix is the problem here. I use two canisters of it in my AC110's and I had no problems. I think replacing your media completely is a problem. Make sure you rinse this stuff out well before use.

I think he means a short from like a heater. Why are you adding bottled water? Seems kinda expensive. Is your tap water undrinkable?

it was expensive at 83 cents a gallon but cheaper than restocking the tank. the water is drinkable but I do not trust it lately with all of the rain that we have had here. the source is a reservoir lake about 20 miles of where I live and I just went on a hunch that the treatment for the runoff might be doing it.

as for the electrical system, its all dry and there are no shorts as far as i know.

Don't mess with your PH. Hope you get this fixed. My GF had her whole tank crashed and lost lots of fish because of adding ph balancers.

earth leakage as an elctrical fault on one of your aqaurium equipement or any other equipemnt connected to same power board.

Are you conditioning your change water ?
If so what product or products are you using ?

I used stresscoat as a water conditioner, I also have nutrafin water conditioner on standby. I am not touching the ph anymore.

as far as the earth leakage goes, im googling it and im still a bit puzzled. everything is hooked up to power strips with circuit breakers and all together the tank setup draws only 253 watts.
