Seachem Matrix?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Update Sunday I feed the fish 3 times in the day. They made a real mess lots of shrimp shells and silverside bits all over the place. I waited a few hours and did the usual tests.
No ammonia, no nitrite, 10ppm nitrate. I thought good about time i saw some nitrates. I let the tank go for 24 hours and re tested. No ammonia no nitrite, and 0-5ppm nitrate. So now I have a positive reading for actual nitrate reduction without water change or chemical interaction. This was the result I was looking for. I will now resume the with the testing and update in a few days.

how would this work in a wet dry?

or maybe i could use it in a fuge for my sw pred tank

updates?

do you guys put the matrix in a media bag? or just dump it in the compartment of your canister/sump?

if its a canister with a tray/basket I just put it in. If its a sump I use a bag

ditto with the tray.... i hoping this stuff really helps with the nitrates too, cause i just got a bunch of it for really cheap :)

I bought 20L for my 210g project tank, hope it works as well for me as it is for you.
