Seachem matrix

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I use either the zippered small lingerie bags for washing machines or regular media bags to hold the Seachem Matrix though I bought the Pond Matrix because it is much larger.

I recommend bagging the media sooner rather than later to avoid the chance that any small pieces would damage the impeller especially if you bought the smaller size Matrix. I know it's a pain to open the filter up again but you'll be kicking yourself if you need to replace the pump motor or if a piece of media jams the impeller and the filter turns off.

Haha man I just finished doing that ! I bought some smaller bags for 99 cents from the pet store. Yea my thoughts exactly. I was like I better get it over with now because it's going to be bugging me until I do. But next time I'll probably get some pond matrix for sure.

I use pond matrix size, love the stuff, straight in the trays. no bio bags.

So yea if it's not a must I don't wanna spend 45 minutes doing that.

Was wondering if I should go try and find some appropriate sized bags or good to go as is ?
If you don't mind spending the extra money, buy bags that are the correct size for what you need.

All you suggested was I get bags. Which isn't fully what I was asking if you read the thread.

hmmm....

Don't know why I'm wasting my time responding to a child.
says the guy that just said
I think you might have mild Down syndrome

all he did was respond to your initial question and you bit his head off. i get it... he posts a lot but that doesn't mean you have to be a jerk about it. if you want specific advice then ask a specific question. don't say things like
Thanks for any input.

then get all bent out of shape when someone gives you input.

And then you go on and do exactly what Stephan suggested. Guess his advice wasn't so bad after all.

Lol.

He's been proving himself to be a hypocrite for the entire thread. The one thing I won't do is say freshwater4life has down syndrome.

What's so bad about an active member who's trying to be helpful?

I be-leave the question is , is it ok straight in the tray, IMHO that is the best way, what the tray and filter was designed for. the few small rocks you saw come out should not be an issue. I prefer pond matrix because of its larger size.

Also Coming and breaking down an argument line for line that has nothing to do with is you hours after it was over is both weird and lame.
